description

The beautiful facade of the historic De Veronycke house, located in Korte Vuldersstraat, has undergone an impressive renovation thanks to the professionals at A. Vandendorpe. This striking building, built around 1580, features charming sculptures above the windows and has now regained its former glory.

A challenging part of the restoration was the restoration of the natural stone block frames around the windows. These were expertly restored with Saint Astier's St.One natural stone repair mortar, Chauvigny rough (St.One 17). In places where there was greater and deeper damage, a layer of RC 730 Betonrep was first applied. This base layer provided extra stability and a solid surface for further finishing with the St.One mortar.
