Loft Zuidervest
An innovative flooring project that focuses on sustainability and quality was recently completed in Pinxten Restoration's stylish Zuidervest loft. On top of the classic floor heating, an 8 cm thick lime screed was applied, using a traditional screed wagon. This screed is composed of Bioterra recycled sand and a binder based on NHL 5, a natural hydraulic lime. This provides an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional cement-based chapes. The chosen composition was slightly oilier than the classic mixture with cement, which led to improved adhesion and strength of the screed.
After installation, the lime screed was carefully flattened to give the floor a smooth and smooth finish. This process guaranteed a sleek and seamless result that fits both functionally and aesthetically with the modern design of loft Zuidervest. With this combination of innovative materials and processing techniques, the floor offers durability and comfort, in line with the project's progressive vision.
