description

Located in the center of Moorsele’s village square, the Saint Martin and Saint Christopher Church stands as a prominent historical landmark. This late Gothic hall church was built in the late 15th or early 16th century to replace a former Romanesque church. Partially protected as a heritage monument, it plays a significant role in the region’s architectural history.

The façade renovation was carried out by the skilled craftsmen of Monument Vandekerckhove. All joints were meticulously raked out and repointed using Saint-Astier NHL 3.5 lime mortar, known for its excellent breathability and long-lasting performance. Where necessary, damaged sections of the brick masonry were rebuilt using the same type of natural lime, preserving the building’s authenticity and historic character.
